Ingredients

12 large red baking apples
1 (8 oz. ) jar boysenberry jam
4 tablespoons butter (not margarine)
12 gummy worms

1. Preheat oven to 350° F

2. Beginning from the stem end, core each apple to 1/2 inch from the bottom. Bring the cored section out from the top. You want the bottom portion to remain intact.

3. Place 1 teaspoon jam and 1 teaspoon butter into each hole

4. Place on a foil covered baking sheet and bake uncovered for 35-45 minutes, depending on the size of the apples. The apples should be tender, not mushy.

5. Remove from oven and let cool

6. Set an apple in a small pudding bowl and spoon syrup from the baking pan around it

7. In the top of each apple, insert a gummy worm, ensuring that most of the worm is poking out.

8. Refrigerate until serving time.
