Halloween Activities: Build A Scarecrow
You
will need Old
white pillow cases (to form heads) A
variety of old clothes (shirts,
overalls, gloves, oversized boots or shoes, hat, etc. Garage sales will
yield a mass of inexpensive items and your children will love shopping for
them!) Straw,
or hay to stuff the body with (old pillows work very well too) Old
newspapers or plastic grocery bags (to stuff head with) Black
and red indelible markers (to draw faces with)
Form teams and give each group
30 minutes to build their scarecrow Give prizes to the teams that
build the scariest, funniest, goofiest, etc. When scarecrows are built, help
the children to decorate the yard with them
Use links at top and bottom of each page to return to the Christmas Section
Please consider donating to Operation Letters To Santa. Your donation helps us to bring Christmas to needy children in our nation.
