Norman Rockwell, American painter and illustrator, was best known for his magazine covers and illustrations for such prominent periodicals as the Saturday Evening Post, the Ladies' Home Journal, and Look. The images that he created were recognized and loved by almost everybody in America. The cover of The Saturday Evening Post was his showcase for over forty years, giving him an audience larger than that of any other artist in history.
