Santa's Favorite Recipes: Peanut Brittle Candy
Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup white Karo syrup
1/4 cup water
1 cup raw shelled peanuts
1 teaspoon baking soda
|
Combine sugar, Karo syrup and water. Cook until mixture spins a thread in cold water. Add peanuts; cook until peanuts begin to pop. Remove pan from fire. Add baking soda and stir until candy becomes light golden brown. Pour candy into buttered platter or baking sheet. Break into pieces when cooled. |
