Santa's Favorite Recipes: Cumin Mornay Sauce
Ingredients
1/4 lb butter (not margarine)
1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup half and half
1/4 cup chicken stock
1/4 cup shredded jack cheese
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/4 teaspoon red pepper
1/4 cup minced parsley
2 minced jalapeno peppers

Melt butter in heavy sauce pan; add flour and blend well. Add cream, half and half and chicken stock; simmer for five minutes. Add cheeses and cook until melted and smooth. Add seasonings, parsley and finely minced jalapenos. Simmer for 10 minutes. |
