Cream of Green Bean Soup

Ingredients
2 cups French cut green beans, finely cut
In heavy covered saucepan, sauté green beans, onions and seasonings in butter
for about ten minutes. Stir occasionally.
Stir in flour slowly, gradually adding water. Cook an additional five minutes;
stirring constantly until soup is thick and smooth. Add milk and heat
thoroughly.
Serve with grated cheese sprinkled on top.

2 tablespoons flour
2 cups boiling water
1 14.5 ounce can evaporated milk
1/4 cup grated American cheese
salt, red and black peppers to taste
