Ingredients
1 large bag of broccoli florets
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1 Kraft garlic cheese log (6 oz)
1 stick butter (not margarine)
¼ cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 small onion, finely diced
1/2 cup each celery and bell pepper, diced and sautéed in butter
1 large can French's or Durkee's dried onions
Salt, pepper, red pepper or Cajun Seasoning

Thaw and drain broccoli. Place in large casserole pan. Add seasonings. Sauté onion, celery and bell pepper in ½ stick butter until wilted. Place soups, garlic cheese and remaining butter in large bowl and microwave until cheese is melted. Add sautéed onion, celery and bell pepper; including rendered butter. Mix together and pour over broccoli. Stir mixture together and add breadcrumbs and more seasoning if necessary. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes or until hot and
browned. Sprinkle with dried onions and bake for five additional minutes.
Note: This is good as a sandwich, believe it or not. Place slightly warmed up leftover casserole in croissants, bake in oven until warm and toasty. Serve for breakfast or
brunch. |
