Store in a tightly sealed container and refrigerate. 

To make the drink,  place 1 or 2 heaping Tablespoons of  batter in mug. Add boiling water and stir until mixture is dissolved. Add a healthy shot of dark rum, garnish with a cinnamon stick or dust with ground nutmeg. 

This makes a great holiday gift when packed into a festive container and tied up with a pretty ribbon or bow.  It's always appreciated when the recipe is attached to the package as well.
