Ingredients

stick butter or margarine

large onion, finely chopped

stalk celery, finely chopped
2
tablespoons parsley, finely chopped

1/2 pounds crabmeat
1
small can evaporated milk
1
pound Velveeta cheese
1/2
teaspoon garlic powder
1/2
can cream of mushroom soup
1/2
teaspoon powdered thyme
Salt
and red pepper to taste
Bread
crumbs, optional

In large pot, melt butter and sauté onions and celery until clear. Add the rest of ingredients in order given. Cook on low heat for about 15 minutes until cheese is melted. Add bread crumbs if desired to thicken mixture. Serve warm with Fritos, chips or melba rounds.
