Santa's Favorite Recipes: Butter Pecan Cookies
Ingredients
1
cup butter or margarine, softened
2/3
cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1
egg
2
cups all-purpose flour
1/2
teaspoon salt
Pecan halves
|
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream together butter and sugar; blend in egg. Stir together flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt. stir into creamed mixture. Chill 1 hour. Form into 1" balls; place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten in one direction with fork tines. Place a pecan half on each cookie. Bake in 375 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
